YWCA City Apartments & Residential Services
The YWCA offers a diverse range of housing programs-including homeless shelters, transitional housing, and permanent supportive housing-for individuals and families who are homeless or formerly homeless. These programs empower participants to live independent, healthy lives through comprehensive support services such as case management, education, job training, childcare, rental assistance, income support, and access to recovery services.
Onsite Support Services
Crisis and Mental Health Counseling
Supportive counseling services are available for individuals experiencing emotional distress or mental health challenges.
Substance Use Support
Access to support groups and referrals to treatment services for individuals struggling with substance use.
Domestic Violence Support
Specialized housing programs and referrals for survivors of domestic violence.
Trauma-Informed Case Management
On-site and off-site case management services incorporating trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing practices.
Employment and Life Skills Development
Workshops and coaching in budgeting, financial education, job readiness, resume writing, healthy relationships, co-dependency recovery, fitness and wellness, and cooking and nutrition.
ENCOREplus Referrals
Assistance accessing free breast and cervical cancer screenings for underinsured or uninsured tenants.
On-Site Childcare for Women in Recovery
Free childcare provided in the YWCA’s drop-in center for women enrolled in the Bridge program, which offers intensive support for mothers in recovery-especially those whose children were born with substance exposure.
Emergency Housing Shelter & Southside Manor Homeless Shelter
Shelter for homeless women offering hygiene products, food, basic necessities, and transportation.
Street Outreach Program
Engages individuals experiencing homelessness who are living on the streets, in hotels, or in places not meant for human habitation.
Intensive Independent Living
Serves homeless families and individuals with at least one documented disability. Covers support services and rental assistance.
Journey Program
Supports homeless families and individuals with a history of domestic violence. Provides case management, rental assistance, transportation, moving costs, food, and

Assists homeless families and individuals living in hotels. Provides case management, rental assistance, moving costs, household essentials, and food.
The Bridge
A two-year program for homeless families with infants born addicted to illegal substances. Offers comprehensive support including recovery services and essential family needs.
Endicott Square
Permanent supportive housing for homeless families where the head of household has a mental health diagnosis.
